FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How many participants do you expect for the educators'
course? Is there a minimum or maximum number?
- I don't really know how many people to expect. Based on the
feedback I have gotten so far, we will be at least around 10
participants for the educators' course. I don't have an official
minimum or maximum number, but if we get less than 5 participants or
more than 30, I will have to arrange accordingly, e.g. offer a second
course.
Could I translate or adopt the course into my local language?
- Yes! The environment I'm using is Open Source, meaning that
you
can use it for free. The content we have so far is mine, and I would be
happy to pass that on. There are some technical requirements for the
server on which the e-learning environment runs, but depending on the
number of participants who would be interested, we might be able to
arrange somehting on this server.
Can I forward the invitation / tell other people about this course?
- Yes! The more the merrier :-). There is no restriction as to who can sign up for these courses.
What am I supposed to do during the 2 hours per week you expect me to be online?
- We estimate about 1 hour for synchronous discussions, either chat
or phone conference. The other hour will be spent at first with getting
acquainted to the other participants and to the online platform, later
with looking at (online) educational material, trying it out for
yourself and discussing in forums.
